Reflection
We see the type of control that Shug has for Albert, she yells at him and refuses to fused over by a man that can't say no to his father. We get an example of this when Albert's father comes over after getting news of Shug's arrival. He verbally steps all over his son. This shows that there is a cycle of men treating their sons poorly thus those sons take to treating their wives and their sons poorly. Shug has also started to open up a bit, but only around Celie.
Daily Entry
Friday wasn't very enthusiastic, but discussion in class that day was exciting. We put our all our desk together to form a circle, that we jokingly call the "Circle of Strife" a play on the "Circle of Life" and a notion to how when we first got into Mr.Rease's class our answers during discussion were always wrong, causing a bit of strife from time to time. We were each given a character and directed to do a S.T.E.A.L chart on them and to write a letter to god from their perspective, we all did really well I think, Brandi and Jason's letter's being my favorite.
